The toronto TO vancouver itinerary

The Vancouver to Toronto itinerary follows the same route, but (you guessed it!) in reverse.

Please note that itineraries may slightly differ between trips.

DAYS 1 TO 4 - NORTHERN ONTARIO

Before heading out on our ALMOST coast to coast adventure (67% of Canada ain't too shabby), we'll do some quick intros to get to know our new friends and will set off to some local shops where we'll be stocking up on food for our delicious home cooked meals. From here, we'll start heading NORTH! The first 4 days of our adventure are extremely special as they feature some of the most beautiful yet underrated landscapes of Canada. The drives in Northern Ontario are beyond beautiful with constant twists and turns through incredible forests and lakes. Although we have some long driving days to get through in this portion of the trip, the views will make it all absolutely worth it. Throughout these days, we’ll get to enjoy the clearest and bluest waters of Ontario in Bruce Peninsula National Park, we’ll experience the ferry across Lake Huron as well as the beautiful drive along Lake Superior, and the incredible Lake of the Woods Region of Kenora.

DAY 5 AND 6 - GRASSLANDS NATIONAL PARK

BOY OH BOY - We’ve got a LONG driving day to get from Northern Ontario to Grasslands National Park in Saskatchewan, but once we’ve arrived, you’ll likely have your mind blown. Upon arrival, we’ll get to watch an incredible sunset over the never-ending rolling hills of the national park. We will get to observe the Milky way (and a million other goodies) in Canada’s largest dark sky reserve and will have the opportunity to sleep in traditional teepees. With essentially no light pollution near this park, the starry night sky truly is out of this world. This is a very special destination for the FML Adventures family and is definitely one for the books! We cannot wait to share this destination with you all and to make more special memories in one of Canada’s best-kept secrets.

DAY 7 - CYPRESS HILLS & CALGARY

In the morning, we’ll start making our way to the 4th province of our journey - Alberta! En route to Calgary, we'll stop by the Historic Reesor Ranch for an epic ATV ride between the Sask & Alberta border. If ATV-ing isn't your jam, just chill out and enjoy the beauty ranch. In the afternoon, we'll head to Calgary's downtown core to rest, rejuvenate & enjoy a bit of civilization before heading back on the road... to... the... ROCKIES! Optional Activity:

DAY 8 AND 9 - BANFF, LAKE LOUISE & MORAINE LAKE

WELCOME TO THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS! Banff will be our first stop in the Rockies, where you will instantly fall in love with the vibes and the beautiful mountain landscapes. This is the time to explore the most famous destinations of Canada – Banff Village, Sulphur Mountain, and of course, Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. The insane blues of these lakes will leave you speechless, so get ready for it! If you’re up for it, you can opt for a canoe ride on either of the lakes for the ultimate gram shot (quite pricey but WOWOWEEWOW). Also, be sure to strap in for a night on the town in Banff Village, which is guaranteed to deliver an incredibly wild night out for the FML fam. Included Activity:

Optional Activities:

DAY 10 AND 11 - YOHO NATIONAL PARK

We’ll hop over the Alberta-British Columbia border to spend the next couple of days in YOHO National Park, which is a personal favourite. This National Park offers breathtaking views at every corner. Here we’ll get to drive through the most beautiful region, hike to multiple waterfalls, and take a visit to beautiful Emerald Lake.

DAY 12 AND 13 - JASPER NATIONAL PARK

Jasper here we come! An adventure-filled two days are coming your way, starting with a drive through Canada’s most famous highway – the Columbia Icefields Parkway. En route to Jasper, we’re going to embark on the ultimate Athabasca Glacier experience and enjoy the Athabasca Falls. For our full day in Jasper, we’ll take on some beautiful trails that take you through the Maligne Canyon region of Jasper. We’ll drive through the wildlife highway of Jasper to get a glimpse at all of Jasper’s incredible wildlife and will finish the day off with a breathtaking cruise along Maligne Lake to Spirit Island. Included Activities:

DAY 14 AND 15 - OKANAGAN VALLEY

BRITISH COLUMBIA HERE WE COME! The Okanagan Valley is a truly beautiful region of Canada where we’ll make ourselves feel at home at the top of a mountain in Penticton. Over the next two days, we’ll do a variety of activities to get the most out of this region; this includes beautiful hikes, lakeside chillin' and wine touring around the best wineries of the valley!

DAY 16 AND 17 - WHISTLER

Next up - WHISTLER! The drive to Whistler features some incredible canyons and mountain landscapes along the way. Once we’ve arrived in Whistler, we’ll have free time to explore Whistler Village and Olympic Village before getting rowdy for our big Whistler night out (if COVID permits). The following day, we’ll be waking up bright and early to take on the Joffre Lakes Provincial hike, which offers breathtaking views the whole way up. In the afternoon, you can choose to be a bad-ass and take the plunge in Canada’s highest bungee jump or to take on the Sasquatch, Canada’s longest zipline. If that’s not for you, then be sure to take the Peak to Peak gondola journey from Whistler to Blackcomb, with views that will not disappoint. Optional Activities:

DAY 21 - VANCOUVER DROP-OFF

The end has arrived. We’ll drop you off in downtown Vancouver and will leave you with PLENTY of recommendations to make the most out of your time in the beautiful coastal city. *Cue the waterworks*.

DAYS 18 TO 20 - TOFINO

Last, but definitely not least, we get to spend 3 days in... drum roll please... TOFINO! Tofino is known to be one of the most beautiful destinations in all of Canada and has so much beauty to offer to its visitors. Tofino's got whale watching, natural hot springs, sea kayaking, surf lessons galore, and beaches to die for (Chesterman, Cox Bay, Long Beach, Mackenzie - the list goes on and on). With so many activities to choose from, you're bound to fall in love with Tofino over these 3 days. No doubt. Our FML family will be chilling, surfing, eating (extremely delicious food btw), and simply living our collective best lives. And then the sad part will come – the final FML family supper and our final night together. Give your new best friends a big hug, reminisce on your month-long journey, and dance until you can’t dance no more. Tomorrow, we'll be heading back to mainland Canada for our final day together and your official drop-off in Vancouver.
